AfroFertility

Privacy policy

How AfroFertility handles your information, in plain language. Last updated 3 August 2026.

The short version

We collect two things, and only when you give them to us: your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, and your name, email, topic and message if you use the contact form. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts on this site. We do not sell or share your information.

Searching this site for information about your fertility does not create a record of what you looked at that is tied to you.

Who is responsible

AfroFertility is operated by Vytalis Ltd. For anything in this policy, or to make a request about your data, email hello@afrofertility.com.

What we collect

  • Newsletter. Your email address, and which part of the site you subscribed from. Nothing else.
  • Contact form. Your name, email address, the topic you choose and the message you write.
  • Server logs. Our host records standard technical information for every request, including IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, not something we analyse.

What we do not collect

No analytics or measurement tools. No advertising or social media trackers. No cookies for ordinary visitors — the only cookies this site sets are sign-in cookies for administrators managing the clinic directory. Typefaces are served from this site rather than fetched from Google, so viewing a page does not report your visit to a third party.

If we add analytics or error monitoring later, this page will say so before it goes live.

Why we hold it, and for how long

We hold your email because you asked to receive the newsletter, and your message because you asked us a question. We keep both until you ask us to delete them. There is no automatic deletion schedule; ask and we will remove your record.

Who else processes it

  • Supabase — the database storing subscribers and contact messages.
  • Vercel — hosting and server logs.
  • Sanity — the system holding article content. It receives no information about you.
  • Cloudflare — domain name records only. Traffic to this site is not routed through it.

These providers operate outside Nigeria, so your information may be stored and processed abroad.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@afrofertility.com and we will act on it. Every newsletter also carries an unsubscribe link. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes affecting information we already hold will be announced in the newsletter.
